Key information about delivery: From us to you
Bulk Bags and Small Bags
In most cases, deliveries nationwide are made by a third party haulier using a tail-lift and hand manoeuvred pump truck NOT by a vehicle with a crane offload. Therefore, we can only guarantee delivery to kerbside or in most cases a driveway as long as it has an adequate hard standing area and can take the weight of an 18 tonne vehicle.
The pump trolley which manoeuvres your pallet cannot go over kerbs and cannot offload onto:
- gravel or loose areas
- steep slopes
- soil areas
Please ensure there is adequate room for delivery vehicles to access your property, free from obstruction and parked cars.
Our lorry drivers will make every effort to place your bulk bag onto your driveway. Should there be obstructions as noted above; permission will need to be sought should you wish the driver to leave your bulk bag kerbside or roadside outside your property. If delivery is attempted and deemed not possible due to lack of information provided by the customer or the customer’s failure to read and understand this delivery information and restrictions, then the customer will be liable for re-delivery charges. These charges start from £50 + VAT.
Pallets and empty bulk bags are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Our loose products are only delivered within a 50 mile radius from our composting site in Chichester, West Sussex. This transaction is only available over the phone, so please contact a team member on 01243 781730

Can I select a delivery date & time?
Yes, with the 5 working day delivery service you can choose the delivery date which best suits you. This can be done on the checkout page where you will find a calendar icon you can click and select a delivery date. This service is free of charge. For deliveries needed earlier than 5 days or if you require time slots (extra charges will apply) please call us on 01243 781730 for advice.
Do you need to be present for delivery?
We recommend that somebody is present when the delivery arrives, however we can still deliver if you are not in. Our drivers are highly skilled and will determine the best place to leave your goods. Should you not be present when your goods arrive, but you have particular instructions for the placement of your goods, please specify in the special delivery instructions box, located in the checkout area. If you will not be present for delivery The Woodhorn Group Ltd cannot accept any liability for theft for unattended deliveries.
