Win a bulk bag in our National Allotments Week Competition
National Allotment Week takes place from 10th – 16th August and the theme this year is “Growing food for health and well-being” – a very appropriate theme considering what we have all been through in 2020. We know many of our customers have already discovered the benefits of growing their own produce, so we’re asking for photos of your treasured plot, or prize fruit and veg crop from this year.
The winning allotment holder will receive a bulk bag (750L – 1000L) of compost or topsoil of their choosing from the Earth Cycle range including Topsoil Supreme, Turf Dressing Rootzone, Compost Soil Conditioner, Mushroom Compost, and Cow Compost. We’re hoping that the competition will encourage others to get green-fingered and embrace the life of an allotment holder.
The aim of the competition is to raise awareness of the many benefits of growing your own fruit and vegetables. It’s not just the health benefits of eating more fruit and veg, or even the reduction to your carbon footprint in growing your own that matter. Studies show that there are many physical and mental health benefits of gardening – and this means allotments are very special places indeed.
If you’re interested in getting involved with our competition, simply send us a photo via [email protected] or share on social media using the hashtag #ECAllotmentsWeek to @EarthCycleUK by 16th August.
We can’t wait to see the photos and we’ll share all the best snaps so that we can continue inspiring each other.
