    • What are your opening times?

      Our website allows you to order 24 hours a day. If you have a question regarding an existng order, or cannot find the answer to your question on the website, please email us at [email protected] and we will respond to you within 3 hours. If your question is of a more urgent nature, please call the team on 01243 781730 between 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

    • Where are you based?

      Our offices are based in Oving, Chichester in West Sussex and our green waste composting sites are based in Tangmere and Runcton, both in West Sussex, and Hayling Island in Hampshire.

    • Why should I buy your product?

      All Earth Cycle soil conditioners, composts, mulches and topsoil are peat free with the majority of our composts made from locally sourced recycled plant materials, which are composted under carefully controlled conditions to produce high quality products, as defined by the British Standard for Composted Materials - BSI PAS 100.

    • Do any of your products contain peat?

      No. All of our composts, mulches, soil conditoners and topsoils are completely peat free.

  • Delivery

    • When will I receive my delivery?

      Delivery can be on a selected day of your choice, but the earliest we can deliver is within 5 days of ordering online.

      Nationwide deliveries can be anytime between 7am - 6pm Monday to Friday. If you have provided an email address and/or mobile number, you will receive a message on the day of delivery when your order has been placed on the vehicle. You will also receive a message with a 2 hour time window in which your delivery will be.

    • How do you deliver?

      All national deliveries of bulk bags will arrive on a pallet and wheeled off the back of a large 18 tonne lorry to be placed kerbside by your property. In some cases it is possible to place your bags onto your driveway, however we cannot guarantee this serviec as it is down to the driver to assess the ground surface, and distnce to the area you would like them placed. Due to the weight of the bag, these also cannot be wheeled across any loose or uneven surfaces such as gravel, grass, or broken paving. The delivery location must also be flat to remove any risk of the driver losing control of the pallet trolley and placing themselves and others at risk of any injury or harm.

    • What size vehicle do you use to deliver?

      Nationwide deliveries are made using an 18 tonne vehicle which measures 2.4m Wide, 2.5m High, and 7.3m in length.

    • Access to my address for large vehicles is poor, can I place an order?

      There must be good access for delivery vehicles to reach your property otherwise your delivery may not be made. If a delivery cannot be made due to access issues then a smaller vehicle can sometimes be arranged for another day or the order will have to be returned to us.

      Both options will incur a charge, but where items have to be returned to us due to insufficient details being provided when placing your order a refund will be made excluding the outward and return transportation costs which are from £80. Please fully read our delivery details before placing your order, and if you are at all unsure, please email us at [email protected] with your address details so that we can advise.

    • Can you lift over walls/fences/hedges?

      We can only lift over walls/fences and hedges if you are local to us (within a 30 mile radius of Chichester). For nationwide deliveries this would not be possible, but please see delivery instructions for further information.

    • Do you offer a crane delivery service?

      We do not offer a crane delivery service for online orders, but if you are within a 30 mile radius of Chichester, then please email us at [email protected] before ordering to see if this can be arranged. For more information please see the delivery instructions page.

    • What about delivery at the weekend?

      We are able to deliver on a Saturday but this will incur charges. Please contact us at [email protected] for these costs. We cannot deliver on Sundays or Bank Holidays..

    • What if I live on a hill/by a low bridge?

      Please contact us at [email protected] with further details and we will be happy to check if your local delivery depot can accommodate delivery to your property.

    • Do I need to be there to receive my delivery of compost?

      We recommend that somebody is present when the delivery arrives, however we can still deliver if you are not in.

      Our drivers are highly skilled and will determine the best accessible place to leave your goods. Should you not be present when your goods arrive, but you have particular instructions for the placement of your goods, then please specify in the special delivery instructions box located in the checkout area.

      It is worth noting that The Woodhorn Group Ltd and EarthCycle cannot accept any liability for the theft for unattended deliveries.

    • I have a gravel drive, can you deliver on this?

      We’re afraid we can’t deliver onto a gravel drive or any other loose or soft surface.

    • Can you deliver to my back garden?

      We’re afraid we are unable to deliver to your back garden.

    • Can I return the empty bags?

      Unfortunately we cannot take empty bags back, however please check with your local recycling centre as many of these are equipped to recycle bulk bags.

    • Can I track my order?

      Yes, you can track your order by using the tracking code and link sent in your order confirmation email

    • What does kerbside mean?

      Kerbside is where the goods are left outside the house, on the kerb.

    • Can I collect from your base?

      No, unfortunately we cannot allow members of the public onto our site due to health and safety regulations

    • There was a problem delivering my order, how do I rearrange it for another day?

      You will be contacted to re-arrange delivery but this will incur a re-delivery charge payable at the time of arrangement.
