We’re excited to announce that we’ve launched our compost poster competition for schools in West Sussex!
We’re asking children aged 4-11 to design posters that show what compost does for the garden, to demonstrate the importance of recycling and how it can benefit both the garden and the environment.
Three winners will be picked across three different age groups, and the winning schools will each receive all the materials and support needed to create a raised bed or vegetable patch for students to enjoy. In addition the winning students will win a mini gardening set and a tour of dairy farm at The Woodhorn Group for their class.
Judging the poster entries will be John Pitts, MD of The Woodhorn Group, Jim Buckland, Head of Gardens at West Dean Gardens, Kate Goddard & Stuart McGinley from Spirit FM and Gloria Robinson of Tawny Nurseries.
All entries should be sent to [email protected] or posted to The Woodhorn Group Ltd, Woodhorn Business Centre, Woodhorn Lane, Oving, Chichester, PO20 2BX.
We’d like to wish all the schools who enter the best of luck and we look forward to seeing your wonderful creations!
