Our bulk bags of compost are organic, peat-free and compliant to PAS100 standard, giving the nutrients your garden needs to flourish.
We supply in bulk bags, at the kerbside, to garden enthusiasts and horticultural experts in Derbyshire and surrounding areas including Burton upon Trent, Matlock, Long Eaton and Derby. We can ship our products across the UK and you can pick a delivery date from five working days and if you would like a particular time please call to discuss whether this can be arranged. We don’t source our products, but produce them ourselves. Sourced from household garden waste and our farmyard, we make sure that only the best organic compost is going to our customers without exception.
All of our peat-free bulk compost soil conditioners enhance moisture retention in soil, leading to improved drought resistance. This means that more moisture is available for your plants and vegetables during dry periods, which is critical for them to grow.
These all-round bulk compost products are ideal for your gardening and horticultural needs. Soil fertility is improved by adding vital humus and plant nutrients, such as nitrogen, phosphate, potash and trace elements, encouraging healthy plant growth. These nutrients are released over many weeks as the peat-free compost breaks down naturally in the soil. With this natural slow release, strong root growth, flowering and fruiting is sustained and foliage is kept green and healthy. This also leads to healthy soil microbial activity and micronutrients that in turn help to naturally suppress plant disease. Aeration and drainage are improved in heavy clay soils, while body is added to light sandy soils, making your soil easier to work with.
Cow Compost
Our Cow Compost is a nutrient-dense soil conditioner based on composted cow manure from our own award-winning organic dairy herd. This particular compost is perfect for vigorous root, shoot and bud growth for sprouting roses, organics such as vegetables or fruit and herbaceous borders. When you buy our bulk compost, you can expect immediate professional results.
Mushroom Compost
Earth Cycle’s Spent Mushroom Compost is a slow-release nourishing fertiliser that provides high levels of phosphate, potassium, calcium, and magnesium and is great for growing vegetables, particularly brassicas due to its slightly alkaline properties.
Fine Composted Bark
Earth Cycle's Fine Composted Bark is produced from 100% British mixed conifer bark with a high percentage of spruce, it can be used as a single season ornamental mulch or as a soil conditioner.
Other Composts
Our other compost products are based on composted plant material produced at our green waste recycling centre. Perfect for your planted vegetables, seeds, beds and borders or just your general gardening needs. It can lighten clay soils and improve the structure of light soils, enhances water retention, and reduces loss of nutrients.
Compost Mulch
Our Compost Mulch is screened to 25 mm, making it a compact and thicker product compared to the others. This can be used as a soil conditioner, but is also ideal as a weed suppressor as it does contain sections of bark and twiggy elements.
Our products are delivered in convenient 1 cubic metre bulk bags, but can also be delivered loose in certain locations.

All of our products are stored undercover, ensuring that they are kept to a high standard and are workable whatever the weather. Our products can be delivered in convenient bulk compost bags being able to fit 750 litres or 1 cubic metre depending on the product.
