The long awaited arrival of local charity Transition Chichester’s annual Green Fair finally came on Saturday 23rd April 2016. The event is normally held in autumn, but for the first time it was held in spring, which we think is perfect to help inspire people for the growing season ahead.
The fair was held in the Chichester assembly rooms and had an array of stalls featuring renewable energy, organic food, jewellery and clothes from organisations such as Tuppeny Barn, The Chichester Society, Wayside Organics and many more. Our Sales and Marketing Assistant, Sophie headed up The Woodhorn Group stall, Sophie commented, “the fair is a great way to show consumers that there are plenty of opportunities to help the local community in a sustainable and organic way.”
With a Fairtrade café, a raffle draw and a Morris dancing performance, the Green Fair provided a friendly atmosphere for all. The Woodhorn Group work closely with Transition Chichester and it was a pleasure to be a part of their event. Transition Chichester is a great charity that focuses on creating a sustainable local environment and a more resilient community. The charity put on numerous events and projects that focus on every aspect of life, whether you are interested in learning a new skill, growing food or even just meeting new people.
